Gridora, the newly established infrastructure platform backed by ADQ, IHC, and Modon Holding, has signed its inaugural Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC). This partnership aims to accelerate the development of high-impact transport infrastructure projects across the emirate, with a combined value exceeding AED 35 billion ($9.53 billion).
The MoU establishes a collaborative framework between Gridora and ADPIC to support the planning, development, and implementation of strategic infrastructure initiatives. An initial focus will be the formation of a joint working committee to identify pilot projects and key opportunities within ADPIC’s capital programme. These projects are integral to Abu Dhabi’s broader vision for economic growth, urban connectivity, and long-term sustainability.
Gridora’s dual-focus business model—spanning both infrastructure project delivery and long-term investment—positions it as a transformative player in the UAE’s infrastructure landscape. Operating under Modon Holding, the platform is designed to collaborate with specialist partners and capital providers to deliver large-scale, high-impact infrastructure projects.
Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of Gridora, stated, “Gridora’s expertise and resources will deliver world-class infrastructure, empowering the nation’s ambitious economic and population growth goals. Our MoU with ADPIC reflects our shared commitment to accelerate the implementation of critical transport infrastructure, combining innovation, scale and vision.”
Maysarah Mahmoud Eid, Director-General of ADPIC, added, “At ADPIC, we see infrastructure as a powerful enabler of opportunity, economic growth, and long-term sustainability. This MoU with Gridora advances our shared commitment to accelerate the delivery of high-impact projects that enhance connectivity and quality of life across the emirate.”
Bill O’Regan, Group CEO of Modon Holding, commented, “With this MoU, we can unlock Gridora’s capability to deliver critical infrastructure, ensuring the long-term growth of the recently announced infrastructure platform. We look forward to seeing Gridora move forward with purpose, enabling world-class cities with cutting-edge infrastructure.”
Delivery Partners
The formation of Gridora as a joint venture between ADQ, IHC, and Modon Holding brings together a consortium of entities with extensive experience in infrastructure development and investment. While specific contractors and consultants for the forthcoming projects have not been disclosed, the collaboration is expected to involve a range of specialist partners across various sectors, including engineering, construction, and project management.
